September 24, 2008 to All

hello family!
so great to hear from you all! i appreciate the letters so much! well i have quite a few jawaban (answers) to your pertanyaans( questions) so here it goes! sadly i will not be singing in the choir. i heard a rumor that the mtc would not be singing at conference and so the one week i didnt go they past out the sign up slips and i guess you could say i missed the cut haha. but o well not the end of the world even though that would have been awesome.

I believe my flight length to singapore is about 21 hours with layovers and what not, so ill be in the air for a while. But when we spoke to president boone he told us that he would call the parents of the missionaries when they arrived but he's not sure about president skelton. there are a total of 5 elders going to my missin that i am here with. they are all in the picture i sent home i believe...maybe i didnt...but there are also 2 elders going to indonesia and two of my teachers served there so we hear all about indonesia.

we arent told much about malasia which is where i'm assuming we will be serving. and that is why i'll be learning indonesian dad. but i think alot of people speak it in singapore also. If you look at the address for the mission home i think its like bukit merah jalan or something like that which means red hill road. so even in singapore alot of the roads are in indo. A kindof cool thing you might want to do it google earth singapore/malasia. they let us do that and it was pretty neato.

Well mother thank you veeery much for the package! the jerkey was devoured! thats precious stuff around here so in the future keep that in mind haha.happy late birthday to the clair bear! that little rascals already 1 hu? shes going to be writing a novel by the time i get back. o mother, if you could send me a good glasses cleaning kit i would appreciate it, i have dirty glasses haha. also my watch broke i think...should i send it home and see if you cant take it back to walmart? i would not worry about it but i think it was like $35.other than that all is doing well the langiuage is coming along nicely and this place is treating me well. i'm learning so much here. its amazing to think how little i know of the language right now, but to think how much i know compared to last week. i can just about say nearly anything i want to say in a round about indo way right now and i am quite happy about it. I want to say some stuff in indonesian to you but my time is about up so i may just write you a short letter by hand. but anyways, thank you so much for everything! all the letters and th package!
